Welcome to Web Development and Design. This class will be introduced to web page design and development through a series of online tutorials. These will include many introductory courses in HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Critical Website Evaluation Criteria as well as an overview of currently accepted Web Standards as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Students will build a variety of personal websites demonstrating the skill acquired from these tutorials. Students will also be expected to complete a final Web project, incorporating and demonstrating the skills acquired through these tutorials.
The two online tutorials that you will be using in this class are W3 schools and EchoEcho. You will find outlines of each tutorial on this web site, along with the assignments that you will do in this class, and the exams that you will take. You may use this site as a guide to help you on what you do in this class and more.
