Drug Awarness and Prevention

OUR COMMITMENT

• We exist to educate those who are clueless as to what drugs can do to your life
• All talks are rated G for any students from 6-12 grade
• All topics are based on facts and resources from multiple aspects of life
• IF YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND Mr.Jablonski's drug conversations, then come in for more simpler explantaions!
  (Some guidelines follow)
  • If you come just because you were not paying attention and missed the info, don't even bother.
  • If you are coming for furthur understandings in drugs but not for academic use, then please don not come; erase the hate
• Your lifestyle may be changed by one of our lectures
• We hope that you will not use drugs in the future:-)

The club meets every Thursday, and the members usually consist of high schoolers over the freshmen year. No funds or restrictions are required for joining the club, but likely to change, such as a fee for taking part in events with the club, such as carnivals and fairs(TBD).

1. I do lead the organization into issues that comes up, such as the latest news in the crackdown on marijuana depots, and etc.
2. We do not appreciate any positve attitudes on lethal drugs, such as alcohol
3. We often just talk on how to prevent LACES students from getting addicted to the neagative consequences of using drugs, and how to prevent their usage in a postive way to LACES and its' community.
4. The members of the club hardly change, due to hardly anyone coming in. We won't scare you away, so come to room 134 every Thursday in Mr.Rojas's room!

YOU are now warned of the following:

1. We have K9's on campus to sniff out any drugs
2. We do have random drug searches
3. Violaters of selling or possesing are kicked out immediately
4. We will be firm in our support of having even more searches on drugs in the future years to come.

This is wrong. Those that think drugs are a way of relieving stressful lifestyles, look for different alternatives, such as moving around while you feel stressed out. If you have a bad diet and a unhealthy lifestyle, you will end up like Homer Simpson!

This is Sonic the Hedgehog. This is what happens to students who take drugs and comes to school. It's quite obvious to everyone else whether you are high or not.

alcohol	although our campus and staff is alcohol-free, there is always the possiblity of one spiking someone's water bottle with clear alcohol. Our main point was to see ways for students to protect themselves at parties and break periods. Don't leave your drink unattended, and if do, get a new drink. In cases of water bottles, flush out the liquid and either fill it up from a fountain, or buy a vending machine drink.
marijuana	if you have looked at the , there was a map showing all the marijuana depots around LACES, and considering the number of depots, there should be a small % of students smoking the leaves on campus. The newspaper article has raised some concerns of keeping watch for any marijuana students.
tobacco	For those who have wondered why our restrooms stunk in the first place, do know that our school does not have a perfect in-class attendence. Those that ditch classes apparently smoke, for those who use the restroom during class periods can smell the lingering secondhand smoke that fills the room. Once you smoke this, you cannot have a quick recovery from its' addiction, so we try to get ideas on how to prevent smoking in our restrooms, and how to protect students that are directly affected by smokers. Thanks to the cancer prevention club, some awareness of "smoke-free" has been made.
Cocaine	Cocaine isn't that much suspected at our school, but it helps to be cautious of other drugs that are hot at other high schools.
