National Scholastic Writing Competition

Congratulations to Dahlia Peterson and Lilac Peterson. Dahlia has won a "gold key" (only 65 nationally) and Lilac received a "silver key" (111 nationally). Dahlia is in the running to win the overall competition. Dahlia and Lilac have been participating in this competition for five years. Throughout the years, Lilac has won one Gold Key, three Silver Keys and one Honorable Mention. Dahlia has won two Golds, two Silvers and one Honorable Mention.
A big thank you goes out to Dr. Draper for working with these two on their essays. Dr. Draper said "I have never had such determined students as Lilac and Dahlia Peterson."
