Founded in 1981, the National YoungArts Foundation recognizes and supports America's most talented 15-18 year olds in the visual, literary and performing arts. This year, YoungArts named 687 Winners from 45 states, selected from a pool of more than 10,000 applications nationwide. The winners were chosen through a mufti-tiered, blind adjudication process and evaluated by celebrated masters in their artistic fields.
As a YoungArts Winner, Brianna Williams, has joined the ranks of more than 16,000 YoungArts alumni, including such notables as actresses Vanessa Williams and Kerry Washington, four-time Tony Award nominee Raul Esparza, Executive Director of American Ballet Theatre Rachel Moore, recording artists Nicki Minaj and Chris Young, violinist Jennifer Koh, choreographer Desmond Richardson, and internationally acclaimed multimedia artist Doug Aitken.
