At this year's state qualifying competition the LACES Speech and Debate Team had another outstanding performance. Austin Moore, Jared Stone and Ruby Scanlon qualified for the state tourney and all took home trophies in their categories. Lauren White qualified as an alternate. Special thanks to Mrs. Sandberg for supporting the team. Congratulations!

Many congratulations to the Middle School Science Bowl team - coached by Mr. Noguchi - who came in 2nd in the Regional Science Bowl Competition. After the LACES team managed to defeat two Harvard-Westlake Teams in the double elimination tournament, the H-W team managed to eak out a 54 - 42 win over the LACES group. Congrats to all. It was fantastic performance in a very close contest.

2023 Senior Awards & Scholarship Night Presentation

Our two high school science bowl teams competed this past weekend at the LA regional competition. Both teams won enough matches in the round robin to qualify for playoffs. Our "A" team made it to the championship finishing second!!!! Congratulations to our LACES Science Bowl teams!

Over a million students in the nation entered the National Merit Scholarship Competition and about 15,000 finalists nationwide have been named. LACES is honored to have three students named as finalists. Congratulations to: ANN P. BASU, RACHEL NICOLE GROBERMAN, and JACQUELINE S. KIM

Congratulations to Logan Conner, Joselin Salinas and Jake Epstein. They graduated from the LAPD Junior Cadet Program this weekend. This is the culmination of a long process of training and education. Chief Beck made a great speech advocating tolerance as an antidote to hatred.

Great job to the LACES Mock Dawks. LACES has excelled as one of the strongest teams in the county. One of our senior high teams finished 2nd in the Mock Trial Competition while the other team made it to the Sweet 16. Our Middle School team also excelled by making it to the Elite 8. In addition Chelsea Cantos and Jared Stone won individual attorney awards.
