High School Mesa Congratulations to Kevin Benavente who won 1st place in creativity and 3rd place in accuracy in the mousetrap car division. Bryan Murphy won 3rd place in solo math. Atticus McLarnon and Maeve Bronson won 3rd place in the eggdrop competition. Sabrina Flores won 1st place in solo math. Berenice Estrada won 2nd place in creativity and 1st place in accuracy in the mouse trap division. All will advance to the High School MESA Regionals at UCLA.
College and HS Photography Contest Claire Golan was selected as a finalist in Photographer's Forum magazine's 34th Annual College & High School Photography Contest, sponsored by Nikon, USA. Mr. Dan Kuffel was Claire's Photography teacher.
MATHCOUNTS Competition Congratulations to Connor Robertson and Jonathan Luo for advancing to the MATHCOUNTS State Competition this year. At a local competition at UC Irvine they successfully competed against 300 Mathletes from schools in the Southern California area. Special thanks to the team coach Mrs. Hill and student coach George Qiao.

LACES Wins Middle School Science Bowl The LACES Middle School Science Bowl team has won the 2014 Regional Championship on 1/25/14. The team went undefeated in all rounds during the competition and is headed to Washington DC for the National competition later this Spring. Congratulations to the team and their Coach, Mr. Ken Mukai!
Recipe Contest Congratulations to Albert Kim and Briana Bernardez, a current 11th grader, who entered the Meatless Monday Food Recipe Contest. Both students are finalists to win the $5000 award for best recipe.
